Netflix’s new comedy-drama followed the life of a bored housewife who wanted to relive her wild past so she got back in touch with an ex. After the surprising season finale fans wanted to know if Sex/Life would air season two and the star gave some insight into what the potential upcoming season would entail.
Viewers watch as a suburban mother of two and a bored housewife Billie Connely (played by Sarah Shahi)battled with the thought of reliving her wild past.
Her marriage to her husband Cooper Connelly (Mike Vogel) seemed to have gone dry.
She resorted to writing about her experiences with her ex-boyfriend on her laptop and when her husband found it he used it as inspiration to spice up the relationship.
The series is full of raunchy scenes as the married couple attempt to rekindle their lost love.
The show gives viewers an insight into Billie’s past before she got married.
Billie had lived in New York and alongside her best friend Sasha Snow (Margaret Odette) the pair worked hard and played even harder.
One scene sees Billie reminiscing on the good ole days after an exhausting day and she thinks about one person in particular.
Brad Simon (Adam Demos) her toxic ex-boyfriend who fulfilled her sexual desires to the fullest.
However, after everything appeared to be back on track with her husband, Billie made a spontaneous decision that may ruin her marriage.
After 10 years she decided to visit Brad, to pick up where they left things.
In the shocking scene, she made it clear that she didn’t want to end her marriage only relive her wild past.
Speaking to TVLine actress Sarah Shahi teased what would happen in season two if Netflix decides to renew the show.
She said: “I just hope that if we do get to Season 2, we can continue down the rabbit hole because it sure is messy to play, it’s fun to play, and I think it’s just incredibly real.”
Fans also saw Cooper find out about Billie’s whereabouts after he saw her location was logged at Brad’s apartment in Manhattan.
TVLine also spoke to showrunner Stacy Rukeyser who added: “It was always intended to be a shocking realization for Billy
“She loves both her children, but she’s in this world with other parents who seem to be fulfilled with just this world, and it’s not enough for her.
“There is this other part of her, this more sexual self, this wild or free part of herself that she wants to experience.”
Hopefully, Netflix agrees to renew its steamy show and give fans an insight into the fate of Billie and Cooper’s marriage.
Viewers will have to wait and see if Billie will perhaps make an even shocking decision to stay with Brad in New York.
