Justin Hartley’s first ex-wife Lindsay Korman-Hartley has jumped to his defence amid his split from Selling Sunset’s Chrishell Stause.

The This Is Us star filed for divorce from the real estate agent in November 2019 after a six-year relationship and two-year marriage.

But the details surrounding the break-up have only just started coming to light thanks to season three of the Netflix reality series.

Lindsay, who has 16-year-old daughter Isabella with Justin, has now spoken out to back him up, after he allegedly gave Chrishell just a 45-minute warning via text before the news went public.

In a statement on Instagram, she wrote: ‘In a day when social media should be used for positivity … an inspiration towards movement in an honest and deserving way, I’d like to join, by highlighting my appreciation for my family.

‘Today, I appreciate my ex-husband Justin for not only being [an] exemplification of a solid man but for being my dear friend and devoted father to our daughter. Simply put; for being family.

‘We derive our own opinion of people by experiencing life and time together, and we do our best to hold dear the ones that maintain consistent kindness, love and generosity.’

She ended the statement: ‘No matter what conflicts Justin and I had in the past, I appreciate what we have today and I am thankful for the family we have built.’

Lindsay and Justin were together from 2003 to 2012, after meeting on the set of US soap opera, Passions.

Marrying in 2004, the pair welcomed their daughter that same year, but split in 2012 with Lindsay filing the paperwork.

Selling Sunset season three, which launched on Netflix last week, saw Chrishell devastated by the sudden break-up announcement, blaming his ‘impulsiveness’ and running away from fights.

‘Because of the crazy way in which this went down, people want answers… and I f**king want answers,’ she told the cameras.

Justin is now rumoured to be dating his Young And The Restless co-star, Sofia Pernas.

Selling Sunset is now available on Netflix.
