RYLAN CLARK is making the most of life as a bachelor by living his best life on the dance floors of Soho.
The newly single telly star enjoyed a wild night out on Saturday at London nightclub Freedom, where he was seen cosying up to a male friend and holding his face in his hands while dancing.
But the mystery man may not have lasted the night, as yesterday morning Rylan appeared to have regrets over his behaviour by posting the word “shame” on his Instagram Story.
He added: “To anyone I met last night . . . soz.”
There was plenty more drama too, as a pal of his wrote on their Instagram page: “Had such a funny, crazy night. Cannot believe you chased a thief that stole your bag, and got it back @Rylan.”
I told earlier this year how the star had split from husband Dan Neal, but Rylan now seems ready to get back out there.
He has already set up a profile on Tinder and I can reveal he has also signed up to exclusive dating app Raya.
The app is especially designed for high-profile people, with James Bond actor Ben Whishaw, singer Calum Scott and Fleabag heart-throb Andrew Scott being among the other gay men who have used it to look for love in the past.
At last month’s Attitude Awards in London, Rylan joked he had been looking for men online on gay hook-up app Grindr.
After arriving late on stage to present a gong, he said: “Sorry guys — I was a little bit distracted, I was trying to download Grindr.”
Hours before his wild night out on Saturday, Rylan revealed he is undergoing a lifestyle overhaul to get a muscular body like a “gladiator”, meaning he is eating up to NINE meals a day.
Speaking on his Radio 2 show, Rylan said: “I am getting man- breasts, which I’ve been looking forward to. The guns on the arms are slowly coming up which is very exciting — and they’re very firm.
“It’s the eating, though. I’m on a bulking thing so I have to eat nine times a day. I’m finding the food harder than the exercise . . . I feel like a gladiator.”
He’s already brought Ready, Steady, Cook back to our screens. Perhaps Gladiators will be next.
All the fun of the flair
CELEBRITIES never need an excuse to get all dressed up, and post-lockdown they are more eager than ever.
A long list of stars turned out to the tenth annual Lacma Art & Film Gala presented by Gucci in Los Angeles on Saturday night, with Miley Cyrus taking centre stage in a floral suit.
There was no missing Lil Nas X in his bright yellow get-up and giant butterfly ring, along with feathery sleeves which matched Jared Leto's outfit.
JamesCorden and his wife Julia Clarey, Dakota Johnson, Serena Williams, Hailey Bieber and a moody Billie Eilish were also among the attendees.
And following more than a year of whispers that they are an item, Normal People heart-throb Paul Mescal finally made his red carpet debut with US singer- girlfriend Phoebe Bridgers.
It’s about time.
Dave: I like weird
DAVE Grohlhas spoken for the first time about being born with a curved spine.
The Foo Fighters frontman revealed he has had the condition since birth, but it wasn’t discovered until he was at primary school.
Dave said: “I’ve always felt like a bit of an alien, which obviously I learned to embrace over time. When diagnosed with a crooked spine at the age of seven, I had to begin wearing a small lift on my left shoe to slowly correct the problem.
“I felt a sense of shame at first as I wasn’t allowed to wear the cool sneakers other kids wore, but that later became a sort of empowerment. I was different and I liked it.
“I didn’t want to be like the other kids, as crooked as I was. I liked the feeling of being strange. I still do.”
Di reigns supreme
DIANA Ross is now a dead cert to perform at Glastonbury next summer after 2020’s event was cancelled.
The Supremes icon was announced to fill the coveted Sunday afternoon “legends slot” and has now confirmed she will be flying into the UK for a string of other dates in June, when Glastonbury is due to return to Worthy Farm.
Today, she announced she will perform at The Cambridge Club Festival at Childerley Orchard a fortnight earlier, on the weekend of June 10-12.
On Friday, Diana dropped her first album in 15 years, Thank You, and said making it during lockdown pulled her through an “uncertain time”. She told me: “I wanted to take charge of my body and mind through my thoughts.
“I asked, ‘What am I thinking now? What do I want to think about right now?’ Through that, these songs came to me. I wanted to find the silver lining, and I wanted to give a gift of gratitude to everyone. I paused and decided to record a new album.
“Every word, every thought and every note is important. It is really about love and giving thanks. Let love lead the way. All is well. Be still and go with life’s flow.”
Dan's a fan for Anais
THE Script frontman Danny O’Donoghue was burned when he split from model Anne de Paula back in 2018, but now he is happier than ever after finding love again.
He took a mystery beauty to two awards bashes last week and I can now reveal she is an events manager called Anais Naing, who he has quietly been dating for two years.
Danny said: “This is my girlfriend Anais – she’s from Brittany in France. We met on the street because we lived in the same part of London.
“My mum loved her. They offered her lots of tea. This is our first event out together – I don’t want it to be the last.”
Speaking on the red carpet at the Music Industry Trusts Awards on Tuesday, it was obvious the Dublin-born singer is completely in love.
Divide over Ed album sales
I HAD hoped albums from superstars like Ed Sheeran and Adele would help take the music business to new heights after a dire lockdown decimated the industry.
But despite Ed’s album Equals going to No1 on Friday with the highest sales in a week for the past four years, it has sold less than a Quarter of 2017 smash Divide.
It is a worrying trend that suggests music being released in album form may be nearing its end entirely.
In total, Equals sold 139,000 copies, while Divide shifted 672,000 in its first seven days. Despite the underwhelming figure, all-conquering Ed still outsold the rest of the Top 30 combined.
Hope is being pegged on Adele to flatten Ed’s sales figure and score the fastest-selling album of the year when she releases her fourth album 30 in a fortnight. But it is being forecast to sell 200,000 copies, a huge drop from the 800,307 that 25 sold in the same week in 2015.
A music insider explained: “Streaming is how the majority of the people in the UK consume music now and it just means not as many chart sales are accrued. In the past, people would buy a CD and it would count as a sale, regardless of how many times it was played at home.
“But now, 1,000 song streams equals the same as one album sale. People could have a record on replay for hours and it would still barely have an impact on the sales figures.”
I’m not sure what the answer is in saving the album as a format – I just hope it doesn’t disappear entirely.
Must-have for James
JAMES Arthur must be counting on strong sales of his new album It’ll All Make Sense In The End, as he has already celebrated its success by splashing out on a new car.
The star says he has plenty of motors, but bought a Mustang because it is painted the same colour as his record’s artwork. Speaking on Instagram Live, James said: “I bought a car today. Your boy is doing alright. I’ve got a couple of nice cars – automatics. But I wanted a little toy to play with. On the video for Ride, which I shot last week, they had a Mustang Mach 1 and I fell in love.
“But I wanted it in black and orange because that’s the colour for the album artwork. I saw one online and went down to a dealership today and I got myself a little manual Mustang, just to sort of f**k around with.”
