Ryan Connor (Ryan Prescott) decided to return to work at the Bistro in Coronation Street this week, but facing other members of the public who have no idea about him, or his story is proving a difficult hurdle to overcome.
During Ryan’s first shift back, he was tasked with looking after a group of children and a few adults for a birthday party.
However, when an adult asked if Leanne (Jane Danson) could serve them instead because of Ryan’s facial scars, he ran behind the scenes so he wasn’t able to be seen.
Ryan’s second shift involved him doing jobs that didn’t involve speaking to customers. He was told by Leanne that a new wine contract needed arranging, and she wondered if Ryan was able to sort it.

When Rose arrived at the restaurant, she got on with Ryan and even decided to ask him out for a drink, but he assumed Rose was just being kind because she had seen his scars and declined.
Back at home, after a heart to heart with Carla (Alison King), Ryan was seen scrolling through his social media.
Ryan was looking at pictures before his acid attack, so the difference between his present appearance and past was significant.
He held one up to the mirror, another devastating reminder for him of how low his confidence levels are, and how much his looks have sadly changed.
