ACTOR Russell Crowe is flogging some of his most treasured possessions as part of his divorce.
The Gladiator star and actress Danielle Spencer ended their decade-long marriage in December and he is now selling items including rare film memorabilia, art and a £70,000 diamond ring worn by Danielle, 48.
Of the jewellery, Kiwi Russell, 53, said: “It wasn’t a great gift as it was so expensive she never wanted to wear it much for fear of losing it.”
The 223-piece auction which Russell talked about on Twitter will take place at Sotheby’s, Sydney, on April 7, the pair’s wedding anniversary.
Here are some of the items due to contribute to a £2milion sale.
Romper Stomper Doc Martens – £8,000
Master and Commander violin – £81,000
Gladiator sword, armour – £19,500
Gladiator chariot – £3,000-6,000
Watches – £250,000 in total
Custom-made motorcycle – £300,000-£400,000
Wedding car Mercedes – £250,000
