SOAP fans were devastated during the UK's first lockdown when all of our favourite shows went off air.
Thankfully, that isn't expected to happen this time around, but the cast will still be spending extra time at home – who will be cooped up with their soap colleagues? Here’s everything you need to know about which cast members are dating…
Joe Duttine and Sally Carman
Corrie stars Joe and Sally found more than an acting job on the cobbles.
The Sun confirmed they had hit it off while filming Corrie in 2018 and had been on a string of secret dates after they were spotted holding hands.
They revealed they are now living together in an Instagram post at the end of 2019.
Joe pair, who play Tim Metcalfe and Abi Franklin, began 2020 by enjoying a freezing dip in the sea in Scotland.
Alan Halsall and Tisha Merry
Alan Halsall is dating former Coronation Street co-star Tisha Merry.
Alan posted an Instagram snap of him cuddling up with girlfriend Tisha and daughter Sienna-Rae in March 2020, telling fans that he and his family were ready for weeks in quarantine.
He captioned the post: "Got everything I need to self quarantine".
Alan's character Tyrone Dobbs is often at the centre of Corrie's biggest storylines.
Meanwhile, Tisha played Steph Britton on the ITV soap from 2013-2018.
Charley Webb and Matthew Wolfenden
These two first hit it off on the set of Emmerdale in 2006 and became a couple a few years later.
The co-stars married in 2018, and are now parents to sons Buster, Bowie and Ace.
Despite a brief separation in 2013, the pair decided to give things another go in 2015.
Matthew told the Daily Record at the time: “It was never a permanent split, we just needed some time apart.”
He continued: “Sometimes life just gets on top of you. We had a terrible two-year-old at the time and needed time to look at what we had but it was the best thing we could have done.”
“Now I’m maybe more thoughtful, more romantic.”
Charley plays Debbie Dingle while Matthew stars as David Metcalfe on the ITV soap.
Lesley Dunlop and Chris Chittell
Another couple to have hooked up in the Dales are Lesley and Chris, who play Brenda Hope and Eric Pollard in Emmerdale.
The on-screen lovebirds are married in real life, but the stars fell for each other long before their characters started up the romance.
They found love on the set in 2008 and tied the knot in 2016.
The couple married during a church service at St Peter’s Church in the coastal village of Coverack, Cornwall.
Chelsea Halfpenny and James Baxter
Emmerdale’s Chelsea Halfpenny revealed in 2019 that she’s in a relationship with her former co-star James Baxter.
Chelsea, who played Amy Wyatt, confirmed her relationship with James, who played Jake Doland, with an Instagram snap of both of them on Whitstable beach.
Chelsea rejoined Casualty after leaving the Dales, while James starred in Still Open All Hours.
