FRASIER star Kelsey Grammer's ex-wife has accused him of being drunk at his mother's funeral in the latest round of a bitter spat between the pair.

The Real Housewives star had been accused by Grammer of "exploding" with rage on the sombre day – a claim she insisted was "not true" on Thursday.

Hitting back, she claimed to fans that she was concerned after the actor allegedly got drunk at the funeral – and accused him of "rewriting history".

It comes after Grammer launched a blistering attack on his ex wife last week, claiming she had subjected him to a barrage of physical and mental abuse during their 13-year marriage.

Speaking of his third wife, the Cheers actor told interviewer Graham Bensinger:"Honestly, I don’t really talk about her very much, because so much of her life is spent talking about me and I just think it’s sort of pathetic."

The actor added: "A month after I had a heart attack, my mother died – 12 years ago now – the day of my mother’s funeral, my third wife basically had an explosion about something."

He added: "She started telling me, ‘I’m out of this, I’m out of here. I want a divorce, blah, blah blah'.

"We’d had the same conversation for eight years, and it was tiresome.”

Grammer continued: “I realized at that moment that I was done with her, that I was not going to end up in this relationship for much longer.

"And somewhere under a year [later], I was done.”

However, Camille denied the relationship had ended that way – and said that she had consoled the star.

“This is not true,” she tweeted on Thursday. “My parents were with us in the Hamptons when we received the news about his mom's passing.

"We consoled him and flew back to LA to make arrangements for her funeral. It’s unfortunate that he is rewriting history.”

A couple of followers pointed out that her denial related to the day his mother died – whereas Kelsey had spoken of the day of her funeral.

This prompted Camille to launch her own attack on the four-times married actor, claiming that he had got drunk at the funeral.

"Later that day of her funeral and into the evening he was drinking heavily with his friends," she wrote on Twitter.

"I was very concerned about him being 'off the wagon' and asked to slow it down or I'll call the Betty Ford clinic," she continued.

She repeated the accusation in another pair of tweets, after another fan called her out for changing the timeline.

"Nothing really bad happened the day of her funeral except he got drunk with his friends," she told them.

"He was on the program," she continued, referring to a sober-program, "and got wasted with his old drinking buddies."

Camille and the Frasier star finally split in 2010 – and she was awarded $30million of the actor's fortune.

The exes share two children — daughter Mason, 17, and son Jude, 14.

Kelsey went on to marry his fourth wife, Kayte Walsh, a former air hostess 26-years his junior, in 2011.

Camille walked up the aisle with lawyer David C Meyer in 2018 but kept the last name Grammar.

The Sun Online has contacted Grammer's representatives for comment.
