But “The Voice” network pulls ahead in total viewers

Fox rode the Part 1 of the “9-1-1” two-episode tsunami disaster to a first-place tie with NBC in primetime ratings Monday.
The shocking episode, which is the show’s most-watched to-date, was even with “The Voice” as the No. 1 show of the night, with both scoring a 1.6 rating. But “The Voice” helped NBC pull ahead for a total viewers win, with Fox coming in fourth place in that metric.
Meanwhile, Week 2 of the 2019-20 broadcast TV season saw both Fox’s “Prodigal Son” and NBC’s “Bluff City Law” hold steady with their debut Nielsen ratings.
NBC and Fox tied for first in ratings, both with a 1.3 rating in the advertiser-coveted 18-49 demographic, according to preliminary numbers. NBC was first in total viewers with an average of 7.4 million and Fox was fourth with 5.66 million.
For NBC, “The Voice” at 8 p.m. earned a 1.6 and 8.8 million viewers. At 10, “Bluff City Law” received a 0.8 and 4.7 million viewers.
For Fox, “9-1-1” at 8 scored a 1.6 and 7.2 million viewers. At 9, “Prodigal Son” got a 1.0 and 4.1 million viewers.
ABC was third in ratings with a 0.9 and second in viewers with 6.7 million. “Dancing With the Stars” at 8 put up a 0.9 and 6.9 million viewers. At 10, “The Good Doctor” posted a 1.0 and 6.4 million viewers.
CBS was fourth in ratings with a 0.7 and third in viewers with 5.68 million.
