“Thursday Night Football” won Thursday night, again
ABC
“Grey’s Anatomy” topped all entertainment-only programming during Thursday’s primetime, growing 18% among the key adults 18-49 demo and 7% in total viewers versus its week-ago episode. We say entertainment-only shows, because the true winner last night was, of course, “Thursday Night Football” on Fox.
All around, it was a pretty uneventful Thursday night, as most shows recovered from last week’s Halloween dips or held steady.
Fox was first in ratings with a 2.6 rating/13 share in the advertiser-coveted 18-49 demographic and in total viewers with an average of 9.4 million, according to preliminary numbers. Those numbers are the averages of Fox’s half-hour pregame show and then the “Thursday Night Football” game itself, which saw the Oakland Raiders defeat the Los Angeles Chargers.
ABC was second in ratings with a 0.8/4 and third in viewers with 4.3 million. At 8 p.m., “Grey’s Anatomy” scored a 1.3/6 and 6.1 million viewers. At 9, “A Million Little Things” had a 0.8/4 and 4.5 million viewers. “How to Get Away With Murder” at 10 managed a 0.4/2 and 2.3 million viewers.
