This Morning continued today with hosts Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield, but when they came back from a break, the latter announced Prince Charles had tested positive for coronavirus and was self-isolating after discovering he had symptoms of the virus. But, when talking to a royal expert, Phillip said how surprised he was that a royal would be able to pick up such a virus.
Holly and Phillip spoke to royal expert Camilla Tominey just moments after the news broke.
Camilla explained: “We know that he’s been displaying some mild symptoms and we know he’s been in a form of self-isolation anyway.
“He hasn’t got it too seriously because his symptoms are mild and apparently he hasn’t passed it on to the duchess and will be following the government guidelines.
Phillip interrupted: “But, it is surprising, isn’t it?”

Camilla went on: “Well, it shows that it affects everyone even a future king.
“They do meet very many people, more than the average person.
“They were at the Commonwealth a few weeks ago and Prince Charles was doing that namaste greeting.
“He wasn’t touching anyone but he was having engagements and interacting with people.”
Camilla continued: “I know for instance a member of the House of Lords had to self isolate after that Commonwealth event.
“The Duke has been up in Sandringham, he has not seen any of his family.
“We don’t know about the contact the Prince of Wales has had with the Queen.
“It’s also worth remembering, of course, he isn’t the only royal suffering from Covid-19.”
