Ruth Langsford led the discussions on Loose Women today as the panel were joined by Good Morning Britain hosts Piers Morgan and Susanna Reid. The presenting duo were questioned on their upcoming Oscars coverage and grilled on any memorable encounters they’ve had with Hollywood stars. However, as Piers recalled a meeting with Tom Hanks, he seized the opportunity to take a swipe at the reported This Morning “feud”.
Piers and Susanna will be flying out to Los Angeles to present their Academy Awards coverage live as it all happens.
The pair began by discussing the number of Hollywood stars they have interviewed in the past and hope to interview this year.
Ruth asked the couple who is the one celebrity they would love to interview which Susanna answered Tom Hanks.
Piers interrupted the conversation to retell a run-in he had with the acting legend.

He explained there are celebrities he’s encountered who have a perception of being “nice” but aren’t necessarily behind closed doors.
“I’ve got a great Tom Hanks story,” Piers began. “I was in New York a few years ago, this is a really good one because it shows you what a nice guy he is.”
“Everyone thinks nice guy Tom Hanks and you always wonder, is he?”
The controversial host then hinted at the reported feud between Ruth and This Morning co-host Philip Schofield.
“We all know people who are supposed to be nice in the business,” Piers quipped. “Don’t we Ruth?”
While the audience could be heard giggling at the comment, Piers added: “Im not talking about Ruth.”
The Loose Women host remained tight-lipped throughout the exchange as the discussion swiftly moved back to Tom Hanks.
It came as Phillip shut down rumours he was feuding with Ruth after reports she filed a complaint.

She was said to have been unhappy with Phil when she was cut off during a crosslink with Loose Women.
Phil appeared to silence rumours of a rift at the NTAs by inviting his co-host to make a speech.
However, Piers blasted the pair and mocked how the This Morning team accepted the award.
“We’re one big happy family. Are we…Ruth? Awkward,” Piers quipped on GMB.

Piers continued: “That was quite clear from the This Morning performance when they all lined up to tell us how happy they are.
“We’re all one big happy family and we all love each other.”
Last year, ITV dismissed rumours of any feud between Phillip and Holly following rumours of a “toxic atmosphere”.
A spokesperson for ITV said: “It’s deeply disappointing and unfair for Phillip to be the target of this sort of malicious gossip.”
They continued: “Phillip is a much-respected broadcaster and colleague and this is absolutely not a description of This Morning that we recognise.”
Loose Women airs weekdays on ITV at 12.30pm.
