PEAKY Blinders' Tommy Shelby and Polly Gray are set to feature in new interactive spin-off The King's Ransom.

Fans will soon have the chance to play several games inspired by the smash hit series – including a virtual reality experience.

Maze Theory, a digital entertainment studio, has produced a game to bring the program to life in a way that has never been seen before and will make viewers feel like they are actually part of the show.

The VR game is set to launch next year and will be 'narrative-driven action adventure' featuring characters including Tommy Shelby, Arthur Shelby and Polly Gray.

Famous landmarks from the drama such as The Garrison pub and Charlie's Yard will also be included.

The plans were put in motion last year and today it was revealed that the game would be available on devices such as PC, console and mobile.

Doctor Who is also set to have a VR game of its own and Maze Theory CEO Ian Hambleton is thrilled with the evolution of the company.

He said: "Maze Theory is evolving to the next level. We know from feedback that fans of shows like Doctor Who and Peaky Blinders crave new and exciting experiences across multiple devices and interwoven stories that create an overall experience far surpassing that of a single game."

It doesn't stop there as the company have also developed an original VR game called The Vanishing Act, a narrative-based experience that allows fan to delve into the deepest and darkest layers of their mind and to experience the memories of others.

Mr Hambleton added: "The world is facing challenging times right now, but the gaming sector continues to be resilient in times of economic uncertainty.

"These investments and our new content initiatives enable us to grow our fanbase and drive our business forward. We remain as committed as ever to delivering brilliant gaming experiences.”

It's more good news for Peaky Blinders viewers, as the show has been given the Government go-ahead to return to filming.

As guidelines for the Coronavirus lockdown are relaxed, stars of the popular shows can return to set – although with some major changes.

Both cast and production team members will have to abide by social distancing rules at all times.

Peaky Blinders and Line of Duty cast members will be required to "maintain a two-metre distance from others, and wash their hands regularly."
