Ozzy Osbourne made a special appearance on Michael McIntyre’s Big Show – to warn Sharon Osbourne not to spend all the money on his credit card.
The former X Factor judge was appearing on the show and taking part in the trademark game Send To All, when a surprise guest turned up on FaceTime.
The Black Sabbath frontman popped up to wish Michael and his audience a merry Christmas – but to also issue a warning to his long-suffering wife as well.
‘Tell her to not to [do] too much shopping,’ Ozzy told the comic. ‘And put it all on my credit card!’
The rock god may want to check his bank statement however, as Sharon leaned over the balcony and shouted: ‘Too late!’
The couple – who have been married for 40 years – hit the headlines earlier this week as it emerged that they would be spending Christmas apart.
Sharon has been appearing in Nativity! The Musical in London and will stay at her home in the UK for the festive period. The original plan was for Ozzy to join her, but he’s staying at their home in the US due to health issues.
‘He’s going to stay home with Jack and Amy and the grandkids and I’m here with Kelly,’ she told her fellow Loose Women panellists.
‘It’s the first time – this will be our 40th Christmas – that we’re not together. It’s going to be different. Kelly and I are going out for our Christmas lunch.’
Asked how Ozzy was doing, Sharon replied: ‘He fell and damaged his spine. It’s kind of been a domino effect, one thing happens then another thing.
‘The doctors didn’t want him to get on the plane. And Ozzy I must say is quite nervous about flying all that way.’
Ozzy had to go through two months of physiotherapy just to properly walk again after he tripped over a rug and fell.
Let’s hope they’re reunited soon – with maybe some large credit card statements.
Michael McIntyre’s Big Show airs at 6 pm Christmas Day on BBC One.
