Amanda Owen, matriarch of Ravenseat from Our Yorkshire Farm, says she hasn’t ruled out the possibility of a 10th child to join the Owen clan.

When questioned about whether she would consider having another child, Channel 5 star Amanda told OK!: “I don’t know! If anyone knows anything it’s honestly that I have not got a plan.

"I plan for today and maybe tomorrow and that’s where it stops. I think we should all give ourselves a bit of a break when it comes to parenting. As long as the kids are happy, well-fed and washed… that will do!”

After speculations about her marriage, the star released a joint statement with her husband Clive, stating that “We’re a normal family and we’ve never said our marriage is perfect."

They explained: "With the TV show and the books we’ve always aimed to show the reality of life on the farm, and just like any marriage we have our stresses and strains, coupled with all the complexities of what we do on the farm and bringing up nine kids.”

The couple also confirmed they had been going through “a rocky patch”.

As the large family lives in such a remote area, they experience harsh weather conditions and can find themselves snowed in or without electricity which means they need to be prepared for whatever is thrown at them.

Amanda revealed that her nine children – Raven, Reuben, Miles, Edith, Violet, Sidney, Annas, Clemmy and Nancy – are a vital component to the day to day running of Ravenseat farm.

When asked how she’s preparing for the winter months, Amanda said: “It’s all about getting some order as the cows are laid in the barns for the winter. We’re gathering the sheep in, to set up their dates as there’s a lot of thought going into drawing up the tups as it’s mating time.”

The six-foot-two former model says that aside from farm work, the kids also get involved with the vital task of cooking for the family, saying that their help is “even more of a necessity, because things are so busy".

She added: "If they don’t have that enthusiasm, it’s not going to serve them well in life.”

The busy brood are always on the go, and luckily everyone finishes their plates.

She explained: "I don’t have any fussy eaters, thankfully! How they don’t get indigestion is beyond me, as they all eat so fast.

"People ask why I don’t sit down during the meal. But when you’re waiting on a table of 10, by the time you’ve served the last, the first is asking what’s for pudding."
