The exact premiere date for the 18th season of NCIS still remains a mystery as the cast await news as to when they can return to filming. However, it seems the comradery amongst them all still seems stronger than ever despite their time apart as one the CBS drama’s leading stars Brian Dietzen, who plays Jimmy Palmer, couldn’t resist a cheeky swipe at co-star Wilmer Valderrama on Twitter over the weekend.
Both Dietzen and Wilderrama have been mainstays in the NCIS cast for several years now, proving themselves to be major favourites among the fandom.
Dietzen first appeared on-screen as Jimmy toward the end of the show’s debut season introduced as Ducky’s (David McCallum) assistant.
Wilderrama, on the other hand, didn’t join up with Gibbs (Mark Harmon) and co until season 14 as a new Special Agent in the team.
The pair have since worked closely together on-screen and it appears both actors are desperate to get back to work judging by a series of recent social media post.

Wilderrama took to Twitter on Saturday to share a few snaps of himself on the set of NCIS.
Both in character as Torres and taking directions behind the scenes, Wilderrama shared two photos to ensure fans he too is just as eager to see the drama return.
In the tweet, he accompanied the pictures with the caption: “Y’all remember this guy? Favourite Torres line? Can’t wait to play Nick again. #NCIS #NickTorres.”
Wilderrama soon found himself inundated with excited tweets from fans, with one replying: “You were a brilliant addition to the cast! Cannot wait to know you guys will be back but #Staysafe.”
A second soon weighed in: “You are my favourite character on the show. Been watching Mark since day one.”
However, it wasn’t just the fans of the show who Wilderrama’s tweet caught the eye of.
Dietzen also replied to his co-star’s tweet but couldn’t resist a tongue-in-cheek swipe at the actor.
The Jimmy Palmer star retweeted the post with the caption: “I remember that guy!! McGee, right?”
Jokingly forgetting about Wilderrama’s role on the show, Dietzen soon made it clear the jibe was in jest.
He followed up in the same tweet: “Man it’s been too long.
“Looking forward to getting back to it with you brother! #NCIS.”
Fans will know McGee has been played by Sean Murray from season one and while neither Wilderrama nor Dietzen shared exact details on when production on season 18 would resume, the pair’s interaction quickly led to some thinking it could be on its way sooner rather than later.
