Tuesday, June 25 will mark the 10th anniversary of King of Pop Michael Jackson’s death.
The singer died at the age of 50, leaving behind a legacy of No1 singles and albums and millions of devastated fans.
But his death formed a bizarre link with BBC soap EastEnders and hospital drama Casualty.
That’s because British actor Shaheen Jafargholi actually performed at MJ’s memorial service at the Los Angeles Staples Center.
Now aged 22, Shaheen caught the attention of the music legend after competing in the third series of Britain’s Got Talent.
He impressed during the audition stages with a version of Michael Jackson song Who’s Lovin’ You, which he also performed in the finals.
Shaheen had been invited to join MJ during his residency at London’s O2 Arena, however it never happened due to his death.
“His family invited me to perform at the memorial service in LA which was surreal and crazy”

The youngster stuck with showbiz, turning his hand to acting and went on to land a role in EastEnders as Shakil Kazemi.
The Swansea-born lad joined the BBC soap in 2016 and stuck with the series until 2018, when his character was murdered.
Shaki was killed off as part of the soap’s attempt to raise awareness of knife crime after an increase of attacks in the UK.
After Shaheen left EastEnders, he stuck with the BBC and joined hospital series Casualty as nurse Marty Kirkby.
Speaking this year about his MJ experience, Shaheen told Lorraine Kelly: “His choreographer showed him a video of me on Britain’s Got Talent before he passed and we were in talks to work together in some way, he was doing the This Is It tour at the time, but that never happened.
“Then his family invited me to perform at the memorial service in LA which was surreal and crazy as you can imagine.
“I’ve had a varied old career so far but I wouldn’t change it, it’s always exciting to do different things.”
