MEL B must be living up to her Scary Spice nickname after learning her two money-spinning theatre shows have become a sales disaster before they have even started.

I can reveal the singer is set to miss out on £57,000 in unsold tickets from her Brutally Honest Evening with Mel B events, the first of which is at Leeds Grand Theatre this Sunday.

While she sold out 13 stadiums with the Spice Girls over the summer, Scary has been struggling to get bums on seats for the live Q&A sessions in Leeds and London, which are inspired by her Brutally Honest autobiography, released last year.

For her August 25 show, Mel still has 651 seats to fill at the 1,550-capacity Leeds Grand Theatre, where tickets cost between £20 and £100.

And while she has managed to get rid of more than half the seats, the empty ones mean she’s set to lose out on £21,878 in profit.

But it’s even worse in London, where she plays the Savoy Theatre on September 1.

Mel has sold just under half of the venue’s 1,158 seats — and because London is pricier than up north, with tickets going for between £30 and £125, she is set to miss out on £35,120 if she can’t get the tickets sold.

That’s £56,998 in total. Ouch.

The two shows have been billed as a “rare chance to get up close and personal with the star”, with audience members invited to put forward questions for Mel.

Those whose questions get chosen will then be able to go up on stage and ask Mel directly.

And there’s plenty for her to talk about, including the Spice Girls reunion, that potential tour in the US and Australia and that steamy fling Geri Horner hates her talking about.

Mel has been advertising the two events across her social media profiles and has been pushing them hard over the past month but nothing seems to be working.

If she invited Ginger, Baby and Sporty, it might be more popular . . .

Jada: Toys put the buzz back

They’ve been married for 22 years (practically a lifetime in the showbiz world) and now Jada Pinkett Smith has revealed the secret to her and Will’s longevity – sex toys.

The outspoken actress, who has two kids with the Men In Black star, has opened up about being a fan of bedroom props.

She said: “People are shocked about my love for using sex toys. I know damn well I’m not the only one that uses them.

“Nobody has to feel any shame about it but I’m still surprised how people relate to sex, specifically female sexuality – it’s still such a taboo.”

Visiting the UK to promote her Red Table Talk show on Facebook Watch, Jada also admitted that opening up about her own marriage problems on the show brought the couple closer together.

She said: “Will and I really wanted to dissolve the myths that surround partnerships that are in the public eye, as if they’re easy.

“Those partnerships are going through the exact kind of difficulties everyone else is going through. We got a lot of positive responses from people in our industry.

“I think it gave people the opportunity to sit down with their partner.”

I agree, Jada. More celebrity couples should air their dirty laundry in public.

Tractor Boy Ed

You can take the lad out of Suffolk . . .  but when it comes to Ed Sheeran, he’ll always be a Tractor Boy at heart.

The singer headed to Ipswich Town’s Portman Road stadium on Tuesday night – in a shirt that plugged his team and his album – to watch his side’s 2-1 win over AFC Wimbledon.

Ed beamed as his team pulled the game back from a draw with a goal in the 94th minute.
I hope he got the Bovrils in.

Britney Spears says she’s culled her friendship group after admitting she struggles to know who to trust.

In a candid social media post, the troubled singer said: “It can be lonely at times. You never know who to trust, and some people can be fake.”

Fill me in

After telling me he was quitting Miami to come back to the UK, Craig David has shared an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at his new music video.

The track, Do You Miss Me Much, is out today while the nostalgic video is released on August 28.

For the visuals, Craig is taking fans back more than two decades to the garage scene where his career started.

I like it but it’s making me feel pretty old.
