Exactly one year after her messy departure from NBC, Fox News alum Megyn Kelly is testing the waters with an interview on ex-colleague Tucker Carlson’s show.

The event marks Kelly’s first TV interview since her fallout with NBC as well as her first public chat with Fox News since revealing she was sexually harassed by late CEO Roger Ailes.

In light of Shepard Smith’s Friday departure from Fox News, the timing of Kelly’s sit-down is raising eyebrows, but execs say there’s no relationship, saying the appearance was “coordinated weeks ago and is a one-time occurrence.”

Adding even further clarity, the statement to Deadline continues, “Any future programming changes we are considering do not involve her.”

Kelly ditched the network in January 2017 for a lucrative new deal with NBC designed to give her a morning talk show, a Sunday night news program and overall involvement in political and world news coverage. By the time everything was said and done, NBC reportedly shelled out $69 million to poach her from Fox News and ultimately lose her barely a year later.
