Love Island viewers were left in awe after Catherine Agbaje shed tears in the latest instalment from the drama-filled Spanish villa, but her makeup remained flawless.

Things have continued to hot up between the singletons on their quest for true love as the nation watches on, but commercial real estate agent Catherine experienced some high emotions this evening.

When sitting down with André Furtado, the raven-haired beauty said: "It's just hard, you know what I'm saying, like." Becoming emotional, she continued, "Oh my god, I'm just not that person."

Andre came and sat beside her and put his arm around her while she dabbed at her eyes. Catherine explained: "I've actually developed a lot of friendships and like, obviously, where I see people happy, I don't want to be the one to make them sad.

"I don't want them to feel sh***y about themselves. Do you get what I'm saying? I just need to breathe. I just need to breathe."

The emotional exchange was, as expected, heavily dissected on social media, with fans keen to share their thoughts. The vast majority were desperate to know the reality star's makeup tips after noting how her flawless face remained untouched by tears.

One fan took to Twitter and said: "Catherine wow what setting spray is this? matter of fact where is ALL the makeup from?"

Another said: "catherine carries herself so well…she WILL prosper", while a third commented: "Does Catherine knows that she's a baddieeee? I feel like she doesn't know and it's hurting me small small".

A fourth quipped: "I hate seeing such a fine babe cry but I need Catherine's makeup routine because those tears smudged nothing".

One viewer said: "Catherine is so fine", and another said: "I hated seeing Catherine crying over that foolish goat! I'm glad Andre was there to comfort her, she stepped outside of her usual type by dating Zach and he f****d up so let's hope she gives Andre a chance".

Later, Catherine chatted with Zachariah Noble before heading back to debrief with Andre. She told him: "It was more of a clear the air conversation, I do want to get to know you more."

They then re-introduced themselves to one another and spoke about where they came from to reconnect after experiencing some tension and miscommunication.

Love Island airs on week nights and Sundays at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX.
