Love Island 2021 star Hugo Hammond is yet to have much luck in the villa, but after a chat with his best mate, Dan Scott we found out which other Islander could be the key to this former PE teacher’s happiness.
In our exclusive chat with Dan he revealed that although Hugo hasn’t managed to settle down with anyone yet, there is one girl in the villa who could be his ideal type.
“Without knowing much about any of them, I would have said that H would have been most likely to couple up with Faye.” This certainly fits the facts as Faye Winter was Hugo’s first choice at the initial coupling up before Brad McClelland swooped in and snatched her.
Dan continued: “Hugo likes a nice looking lady, but he’s not set on one type of look. He likes girls who are fun and outgoing and look after themselves.”
Hugo has been in a platonic couple with Sharon Gaffka since the get go which Dan confirms he doesn’t see going anywhere.
He told us: “She is not the sort of girl I would have expected Hugs to couple up with. He tends to put a lot of emphasis on personality and I feel that their personalities are too different.”
So, it’s fair to say that bubbly beauty Faye is certainly up Hugo’s street, but will the pair rekindle the initial spark they had during the opening show?
Well, Hugo may be in with a chance to turn Faye’s head as she and Brad agreed to go their separate ways in Wednesday’s episode after a heated discussion by the fire pit.
Brad made his feelings for Faye clear during a game of beer pong dare when he was told to kiss the girl he fancied the most and the girl he fancied the least. He chose to smooch newcomer Chloe Burrows as the former and gave Faye a peck to prove she was the latter.
The other Islanders were shocked, with Sharon admitting she thought it’d be her or Kaz [Kamwi] in Faye's shoes as they’re just “mates” with Brad.
In true Love Island style, the drama piqued when Brad pulled Faye for a chat by the fire pit. Although he felt like he was just being “honest,” Faye didn’t take too kindly to being pied off.
The pair clashed in a heated confrontation which led Faye to say: “If you don’t like me, that’s fine. I don’t take any offence to it. But, don’t make me feel like a d**k.
So, who knows! Perhaps Hugo is in with a chance with his ideal type after all. Only time will tell.
