BBC Breakfast's Louise Minchin was forced to step in during Tuesday's programme, as her co-host Dan Walker made an awkward political blunder.
During a segment with the show's Chief Political Correspondent, Adam Fleming, a picture of Boris Johnson bumping elbows with Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison was shown on-screen.
And after Adam had finished talking, Dan jumped in to say: "And while you were talking, we were seeing some pictures of Boris Johnson and his Australian counterpart Scott Morrison elbowing each other."
Dan was quick to correct himself for potentially implying the Prime Minister was getting aggressive, rushing to put in: "In a sort of, you know, greety way, outside the doors of Number 10. Not those sorts of pictures!"
Co-host Louise sounded understandably stern as she added: "In a shaking hands sort of way."
"Yeah, yeah exactly! They weren't elbowing each other in the head, as you saw," Dan explained as the presenters both laughed off the awkward gaffe.
It came as the UK is engaged in talks with Australia to strike up a new trade deal – so it was probably a good thing that the meeting didn't descend into violence!
Elsewhere on Tuesday's programme, Louise appeared to be tripping over her words as she introduced a segment about water-based mammals.
But she referred to them as 'manimals' – a slip-up the duo put down to her recent appearance on Richard Osman's House of Games.
Discussing the water shrews, Louise said: "They're tiny mammals which have long baffled scientists with their ability to hunt underwater.
"Now researchers say the creatures have evolved special muscle that carry more oxygen, allowing them to stay submerged much longer than other manimals… other mammals, apologies, of the same size."
The tables had definitely turned, as Dan continued: "I think I know the reason for this, Louise.
"You've recently been a guest on Richard Osman's House of Games."
Louise added: "Honestly, that Answer Smash got completely in my head, I'm inventing words all over the place."
"Combining words together – this could be a fun morning!" Dan joked.
The Answer Smash round requires contestants to put two answers together in a bout of wordplay, often with hilarious results.
It comes after Louise announced she would be leaving the morning programme after almost 20 years.
In an emotional statement last week, Louise said: "I'm just going to take a deep breath for this.

Louise added: "Everyone on the team and everyone of you who watches the programme. I've loved being part of it but. There is a but.
"I have decided that it is time that I stop setting my alarm for 3:40 in the morning and I am going to be leaving the programme."
