The Love Island newbie was announced last night and the hunk already has his sights on Maura Higgins.

Admitting he’s well acquainted with Loose Women’s Denise Welch, fans were laughing when Denise’s reaction was revealed.

The hunk admitted his dad was once engaged to the TV babe, before he was born.

It seems the duo remained close, with Denise remaining a good family friend.

Taking to Instagram to share her thoughts on Chris entering the villa, she shared the news that they know each other from her former engagement.

She joked: “I’m sort of in it then really!”

Fans quickly fell into pits of laughter after the news, with one user writing: “Can’t wait to see you in it tonight, you’re hilarious!”

Another joked: “You’ve always been a bombshell in our eyes.”

A third fan chirped: “I love it!”

It’s not rare for contestants in the villa to have famous connections, with Curtis Pritchard and Tommy Fury kicking off the series.

Most recently, Belle Hassan entered the villa, with the babe being the Dani Dyer of the series and having a famous dad.

Speaking on her dad, Tamer Hassan, she said: “My dad is an actor. He’s been in The Football Factory, The Business, Game of Thrones – he’s my link to the famous world.

“He’s told me to by myself but also warned me, ‘I’m watching and I’m going to be seeing every detail!’

“He was in a film with Danny Dyer, I’ve met Dani Dyer when we were kids.”

A number of the islanders have had some connection with celebs on the outside, with Arabella Chi being pals with former Islander Montana Brown.
