Location, Location, Location's Phil Spencer was left red faced after he arrived with hopefuls Rebecca and Sohail to view a home that had already been sold.

The Channel 4 star, 51, was visibly fuming as he showed up at the property to be met with an enormous "sold sign".

Phil had already struggled to find something great for the pair who were attempting to buy a home for the first time.

Reaching for his mobile phone, he angrily phoned the estate agent responsible for the blunder but away from the cameras.

Embarrassingly, he was informed the house had been sold that very morning, just as Rebecca and Sohil showed up to see the home they would never actually be able to own.

Now that Rebecca and Sohil's children had fled the nest they were hoping to own their own property, but they had high hopes for £350,000 budget in North London.

Phil and Rebecca already hadn't seen eye-to-eye on another property in Waltham Abbey that failed to enthuse her.

As they strolled up to the home with the unmissable sign that read "sold" in black lettering.

He simply said: "I'm really sorry, I really am," before explaining to the pair that the market was competitive at the moment.

After the couple were seemingly unimpressed, Phil decided to inform his co-star Kirsty Allsopp of the terrible blunder.

Phil remarked: "I'm having a blinder, turned up to a great big sold sign"

"Then my two turned up and I was left looking like a right monkey."

Finding it hard not to laugh, Kirsty quipped: "Yup, monkey is the right term."
