Fans weren’t happy with Letitia Wright after she shared a video about the COVID-19 vaccine on Twitter. Some of them called for Black Panther 2 to be canceled. This is how she reacted to that and what she had to say about her original tweet.

Shuri will reportedly have a bigger role in ‘Black Panther 2’

The sequel for the Marvel hit is still in the works after Chadwick Boseman shockingly died in August due to colon cancer. Multiple sources told The Hollywood Reporter shooting for the sequel will start in July in Atlanta.

Narcos: Mexico actor, Tenoch Huerta has reportedly been cast to play one of the antagonists. Lupita Nyong’o, Winston Duke and Angela Bassett will reportedly return to their roles.

Shuri will also reportedly have a bigger role in the sequel. This got the rumors started that it will be Shuri who will become the new Black Panther, but that hasn’t been confirmed.

Wright was previously asked by Net-a-Porter what will happened to the franchise given Boseman’s death. “We’re just still mourning Chad, so it’s not something I even want to think about,” she said. “The thought of doing it without him is kinda strange. We’re just grieving at the moment, so it’s trying to find the light in the midst of it.”

Letitia Wright shared a video questioning the COVID-19 vaccine

The actor tweeted a video called “COVID-19 VACCINE, SHOULD WE TAKE IT?” to her fans on Dec. 3. It’s an episode of On the Table where host Tomi Arayomi questions the safety of taking the vaccine.

Arayomi doesn’t have a medical background. He describes himself as “a well recognised Prophet and the Managing Director of Prophetic Voice TV – An online mission that seeks to restore the ability to hear the voice of God to every person on every sphere of influence” on his Facebook profile.

Many fans were angry Wright would share a conspiracy video making people fearful of the vaccine. She later responded to angry fans including one who called for the sequel of Black Panther to be cancelled.

She liked a tweet calling to cancel the sequel

Wright interacted with many angry fans. She also liked some of the tweets. One of her liked tweets reads, “Cancel Black Panther 2 immediately.”

Wright later tweeted, “if you don’t conform to popular opinions. but [sic] ask questions and think for yourself….you get cancelled.” A fan replied with a gif of Killmonger (Michael B. Jordan) saying “Nah. I’m your King.” The fan then wrote “Anyone have Michael B. Jordan’s phone number?”

She liked that tweet then replied with, “I got u.” The actor ended up deleting the tweet of the video about the vaccine she shared. She then tweeted on Dec. 4, “my intention was not to hurt anyone, my ONLY intention of posting the video was it raised my concerns with what the vaccine contains and what we are putting in our bodies. Nothing else.”
