KATIE Price revealed she rejected a blood transfusion after her brutal surgery in Turkey.

The 43-year-old underwent a full body overhaul with liposuction, eye and lip lifts, liposuction under her chin, and fat injected into her bum.

Afterwards she was told by doctors that she needed two pints of blood after losing a large amount in theatre. The warning left Katie fearing for her life.

In an exclusive interview with The Sun, she said: “I just thought, ‘Please, no, don’t let this be happening — this is it, then — I’m going to die."

Katie's boyfriend Carl Woods questioned whether it was a good idea amid the coronavirus pandemic.

She continued: “They asked me when I was still coming round and I couldn’t think properly. Carl was like, ‘Why would you want two pints of some random person’s blood in you with Covid around?’.

“I was like ‘Yeah,  I didn’t want to accidentally cut myself and lick it and it be someone else’s blood — it made me feel sick, so I said No."

Fortunately, Katie is recovering well without the transfusion three weeks after going under the knife.

She said: “I do feel weak but I’m eating well and taking  tablets to help.”

Despite Turkey being on the red list for travel, Katie left her kids with their dads for three weeks and flew to Dr Karim at the Comfort Zone clinic.

She added: “I’ve always been honest about what I’ve had done and I wanted to make a mini documentary about what  happens when you go under the knife.

“It’s always dangerous being put under anaesthetic, you can’t make decisions yourself if anything goes wrong so I wanted it on camera and for Carl to be there too . . . and I’m glad he was!”
