KATE Garraway was given the cold shoulder from the BAFTAs as Caring for Derek is snubbed for an award.
The Good Morning Britain presenter's deeply moving documentaries looking at husband Derek's battle with the aftermath of Covid were not nominated.
Kate won a BAFTA last year for her documentary Finding Derek about the plight of her husband, and her recent follow-up Caring for Derek also proved to be popular with viewers.
However, the 54-year-old broadcaster has been shunned along with some of Britain's most popular shows and their stars.
Kate's latest documentary covered how Derek has been adjusting to life since leaving hospital and returning home.
Following Derek's time in hospital – during which he was placed into an induced coma – Derek is still very ill after suffering organ failure and clots on his lung.

But Kate is yet to have an agreed diagnosis on precisely what Covid did to Derek’s brain and body because experts still don’t fully understand the long-term effects of the virus.
He may never be able to walk again because the tendons and muscles in his legs have seized up from having been in an induced coma for so long.
Other shows excluded from the nominations included BBC's Line of Duty, which didn't receive a single nod despite being the most-watched drama of 2022 with 12.8 million tuning in to see the final episode of the cop thriller.
The second biggest drama of the year, BBC1's Vigil, was nominated for Best Drama, but central star Suranne Jones was overlooked for a Leading Actress nomination.

And EastEnders was left out of the Best Soap category despite the fact that Holby City, which was this week axed by the BBC, was included.
However, Channel 4's drama about Britain's HIV epidemic It's A Sin emerged as the favourite among the Bafta panel gaining 11 nominations, including cast members Olly Alexander for Leading Actor and Lydia West for Leading Actress.
It is also up for Best Mini-Series, and three supporting actor gongs potentially going to fellow cast members Callum Scott Howells, Omari Douglas and David Carlyle.
The second most nominated show was Sky thriller Landscapers starring Olivia Colman and David Thewliss, who was nominated for best Leading Actor. But Olivia was denied a nomination.

Jodie Comer was nominated in the Leading Actress category for Channel 4's Help, and Kate Winslet for Mare of Easttown. Sean Bean was nominated for BBC drama Time, while Stephen Graham also got a nod for Help.
Other big dramas receiving multiple nominations included Netflix's Sex Education and BBC1's A Very British Scandal.
