Josie Gibson narrowly escaped what could only be described as a "traumatic" wardrobe malfunction during a live segment on This Morning.
While attempting to transform into a mermaid, the 38-year-old reality star inadvertently channeled more of Bridget Jones's infamous mishaps than the graceful Disney princess she had hoped to emulate.
What makes Josie's segments on the show so endearing is their tendency to veer off into delightful chaos.

Whether it's her hungover adventure through the world's scariest maze or her impromptu serenade for a bewildered Tom Jones, viewers have come to expect the unexpected from Josie.
This time around, Josie found herself in an outdoor pool alongside her "mermaid instructor," Lisa, to celebrate the release of the live-action remake of The Little Mermaid, featuring the talented Halle Bailey.
As part of the live report, Josie was tasked with submerging underwater and playfully slapping the surface with her mermaid tail.
However, what seemed like a simple maneuver proved to be quite challenging for a beginner like Josie.
Rather than effortlessly rising to the occasion, she found herself splashing around and admitting, "I wouldn't say I was the best at that."
As Josie began to ask a question, her words were cut off when her instructor submerged underwater—a typical behaviour for a professional "mermaid".
Emerging from the water, Josie appeared increasingly concerned and let out small screams before finally mustering the courage to voice her request. "
Lisa, I have to ask you, can you do up my swimming costume? It's come undone," she pleaded.
Josie maintained a protective stance, crossing her arms in front of her, as the footage transitioned to pre-recorded scenes of people gracefully swimming with their mermaid tails.
While Lisa diligently worked to fix the issue, Josie employed distraction techniques, showcasing her talent for wordplay by describing the experience as "mer-mazing."
Finally, she burst into song, treating viewers to an impromptu rendition of "Under the Sea" from The Little Mermaid soundtrack.
As the time came for Josie to wrap up the segment and throw back to the studio, she expressed her gratitude to Lisa for saving the day.
"Thanks, because that could have been really traumatic for me there," she exclaimed.
What we’ve come to love about Josie, 38, and her segments on the show is how they often descend into slight chaos, from her trip to the world’s scariest maze during a hangover to a random serenade for a confused Tom Jones.
