This Morning continued with Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford this week and of course, they were joined by James Martin. James made his loaded potato fries topped with cheese, bacon and barbeque sauce. But, when he added an entire tomahawk steak to the meal, fans were left completely stunned.
“We are heading Stateside with James Martin, he’s in his kitchen and he is cooking us a feast.” Ruth began.
James explained: “That central part of America is beautiful but also has amazing steak and food.
“So I am just going to show you really simple loaded potato skins.
“Let me take this steak off the grill quickly to rest though.”
He then showed the viewers how to prepare such a huge piece of steak.
“I like to use a bit of Tomahawk steak.
“Rib-eye is good to cook on the barbeque. Now, salt and pepper the steak, but not too much as that pepper will burn on the barbeque.
“I actually like to leave the steak quite thick, so instead of buying two small pieces get a big one and carve it up.” James explained.
“The bone will help that cook as well and you can also turn it over with it.
“But also the bone transfers the heat all the way through the centre, so usually it is quicker to cook.”
James then covered the cooked steak in butter, but this was one step too far for the fans, and they immediately took to Twitter to discuss.
“#thismorning J**** C**** that meal is HUGE. #jamesmartin,” said one viewer.

Another added: “Oooh that tomahawk steak looks amazing – my stomach just made a disgusting noise! #ThisMorning.”
“Don’t think Tesco sell meat with the whole leg bone still in lol #ThisMorning.” uttered another.
A fourth quickly added: “The size of his meat #ThisMorning.
“Who eats all this food after James has cooked #ThisMorning #thismorning” said a fifth.
And last but not least, a viewer explained: “The size of it has completely deterred me. #jamesmartin”
James then took his loaded potatoes off the barbeque and had to hold the plate up with two hands because of the amount of food that was on the plate.
The chef rounded the meal off with some sweetcorn, smothered in butter, and then put on the grill.
So, at least he sort of remembered his vegetables.
This Morning airs on ITV weekdays at 10am and James Martin’s Saturday Morning airs on Saturdays at 9.25am on ITV.
