James Argent could be making a comeback to TOWIE – after his bombshell ban from the show has reportedly been lifted.
The 33-year-old television star was axed from the the ITV Essex-based reality series – The Only Way Is Essex – back in 2019 after he failed a drug test.
However, James has turned his lifestyle around in recent months, and is said to be hopeful it could pave the way for him to finally return to the show.
This comes after James recently appeared in an upcoming spin-off show – created by TOWIE's bosses – which stars his former co-stars Tommy Mallett and Georgia Kousoulou.
According to the Mail Online, an inside source revealed: "James was thrilled to be back filming on Friday".
"He's spent the last six months focusing on his mental and physical health and now finally he's starting to feel the benefits.
'His relationship with Lime Pictures is also on the up, which he hopes will one day mean he can rejoin TOWIE and put everything that's happened in the past behind him."
James made a cameo appearance alongside his close friend Georgia and Tommy, both 29, as they filmed the finale of their new show which follows their lives as new parents.

In 2019, James was booted off the ITV series after he failed a drug test for cocaine.
A TOWIE spokesperson at the time had told The Mirror: "There are no further plans to film with him at this time."
After that, James revealed his life had spiralled and he even had two near-fatal experiences in 2019 when he needed paramedics after taking illegal substances.
Last year, the star also entered a rehab clinic in Thailand.

However, James had undergone a dramatic transformation in the last few months, and seems to be well on the way to making his return to the television world.
Earlier this year, James had lifesaving gastric-band surgery which has already helped him lose four stone.
The TV star, who has been spotted training in a number of swimming pools, is now set to take part in the John West Great North Swim, and the John West Great East Swim in June.
Speaking on Channel 4's Steph's Packed Lunch, James said about his progress: "I feel so much happier already, I feel healthier already, I'm lighter on my toes, I'm more confident. I'm really loving life at the moment".
