GAME of Thrones made headlines for all the wrong reasons after a plastic coffee cup was spotted during a scene in its final series.
The HBO fantasy series saw its medieval vibe thrown out the window when the rogue beverage gatecrashed a tense banquet in Winterfell.
Soon the hunt was on for the culprit behind the blunder and given Daenerys Targaryen actress Emilia Clarke’s proximity to the cup, she was initially blamed by fans.
However, Emilia subsequently cleared her name by accusing Varys actor Conleth Hill of being responsible.
Suffice to say Conleth was having none of it as he claimed it way beyond the realms of feasibility for him to be the culprit.
During the tongue-in-cheek chat, he insisted he wouldn’t have been able to reach the centre of the table where the cup was left.
"I would need to have had Mr Man arms to leave a coffee cup there," he said on Sunday Brunch.
"I took a bullet for Emilia Clarke and she touted on me.
"You know, there’s no proof that I did it. So accuse away!"
He also insisted that the gaffe wasn’t a sponsorship deal, as some wild conspiracy theorists had claimed.
