Matt Hancock joining the I'm A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! line-up has already been causing a stir, and now it has been revealed he has been given a "special privilege" ahead of joining his campmates.
The former Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, 44, has reportedly been given the right to have a laptop while he is in isolation, so he can reply to emails and join Zoom meetings.
This is a rare move from bosses, as the other celebrities lost their phones and contact with the outside world moments after landing in Australia for the new series of the show.
"Matt does not have his personal phone at all and any laptop access is for constituency and monitored Zoom work purposes only whilst in isolation," a source told the Mirror.
"Matt does not have general internet access."
When Matt was announced on the line-up, he claimed he would be able to work while in camp and speak to his constituents from the Bush Telegraph.
He wrote in a piece for The Sun: "As an MP, my first priority is to my constituents.
"I have agreed with the show's producers that I can be reached at any point on any urgent constituency matters."
However, an ITV spokesman said last week: "You are correct to say that celebs cannot speak to the outside world at all unless there are exceptional circumstances ie. an emergency."
It isn't yet known when Matt will be heading into the jungle after the campmates settle in, but the other late arrival is expected to be Seann Walsh.
I'm A Celebrity's hosts Ant and Dec teased his appearance on the opening show, as Ant joked: "We've also got not one, but two late arrivals on the way.
"Fortunately, we've managed to keep their identities a complete secret," he quipped. "Nobody's got a clue who they are."
Dec added: "You're gonna be so surprised guys. We'll be rolling out the welcome 'mat' for them very soon."
And as viewers await the arrival of Matt and comedian Seann, 36, in camp, behavioural and media psychologist Jo Hemmi ngs told OK! that Seann will be "trying to keep his distance" from Matt to "rebuild himself."
Many will recall a video surfacing of Seann and dancer Katya Jones kissing in a Central London pub during his time on Strictly Come Dancing in 2018.
At the time, Katya, 33, was married to dancer Neil Jones, 40, while Seann was in a relationship with Rebecca Humphries, 35.
She shared: "Part of his reasons for going into I'm A Celebrity is to kind of rebuild himself away from that scandal, and actually if he allies with Matt Hancock, it's almost like that becomes redundant of making that point of trying to distance himself from it.
"Enough time has passed – he [Seann] has got the opportunity to say, yeah, 'I was an **s and God, I really did suffer with my mental health afterwards.'"
