Throughout the show’s 18-year history, the crew behind the camera have been testing out the trials before the celebrities.
According to Buzzfeed, they “spend three days pretending to be the celebrities the week before the show goes live to make sure everything is working correctly.
“They do the trials and eat the same food like it’s the real thing.”
This is all to ensure the challenges are possible and safe to do.
I’m A Celebrity’s first aider Bob McCarron, better known as Medic Bob, works seven days a week when the ITV show is on.
He has dealt with thousands of injuries since the series began, both during and away from the Bushtucker Trials.
He told The Sun: “We treat an average of 30 cases a day in clinic. There are pretty much snake sightings every day.”
There have been plenty of memorable medical moments in I’m A Celebrity’s history.
