HOLLY Hagan has responded to an influx of criticism just days after giving birth to her first child.

The Geordie Shore star, 30, explained today how she woke up to a barrage of comments after sharing a picture of herself outside of the house.

She explained: "I was thinking, 'What's going on?' and it was all of you saying, 'Oh my God, you have just had a baby and you're out of the house.

"I think because I posted [the birth announcement] on Wednesday saying 'he's here', you guys thought that I had him on Wednesday and was literally out of the house in a full face of makeup and clothes on the Thursday.

"I actually had him last week so he was a week old yesterday, which meant we went to go get his newborn pictures, which is the only reason I didn't look like this, which is how I look the rest of the time."

Holly previously told fans she was in "a baby bubble" after announcing the birth of her little boy.

New mum Holly said: "He's here! We're doing amazing. Little hospital update will be on my blog tomorrow morning.

"Huge thank you to the incredible staff at Wythenshawe Hospital. I couldn't have wished for a better birth experience. Just enjoying our little baby bubble."

The reality star first revealed she was expecting a baby with National League footballer Jacob Blyth in January.

She shared a video with OK! magazine where she presented Jacob with a shoe box.

Inside was a positive pregnancy test and Holly jumped into his arms with joy.

She said: "Your patience, strength and resilience inspire me every single day and I couldn't think of a strong role model for our future children."

The montage also included footage of the pair exchanging their marriage vows in Ibiza last year.
