The Bastard Son and the Devil Himself has just arrived on Netflix and it follows the battle between Blood Witches and Fairborn Witches. Annalise O’Brien is a Fairborn Witch, who starts to fall for Nathan Byrn (Jay Lycurgo), who is the son of the most-feared witch in the world. Express.co.uk has all you need to know about the actress behind Annalise.
Who plays Annalise in The Bastard Son and the Devil Himself?
The fantasy drama is based on the young adult novel Half Bad by Sally Green, and it follows the story of an illegitimate child, Nathan.
Determined to find out who he really is, he risks everything to discover more about his father, Marcus Edge (David Gyasi).
Along the way, he meets Annalise, a girl at his school who is a Fairborn witch, and she is one of the only people who is not scared of Nathan.
Annalise is played by Nadia Parkes, a 26-year-old English actress who graduated from the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art in 2018.
She began her acting career as Rosa de Vargas in the series The Spanish Princess, which aired on Starz.
In 2020 she starred in an episode of Doctor Who as Claire Clairmont, before taking on a small role in Starstruck in 2021.
Fans may also recognise her as young Livia in Domina, but The Bastard Son and The Devil Himself is one of her first main roles.
Away from acting, viewers may have heard her name before as she was the girlfriend of Spiderman star, Tom Holland.
The pair became Instagram official in the summer of 2020 as Tom would often share photos of them together.
Nadia has a whole host of celebrity friends and includes Game of Thrones star Sophie Turner as one of her closest pals.
She attended Sophie’s hen party in June 2019, when they jetted off on a break to celebrate her big day.
The actresses have been friends since 2015 and continue to have a close bond.

After viewers see her in one of the main roles in The Bastard Son and the Devil Himself, she is likely to be snapped up for some more major roles.
