Sam Blakeman (Jude Riordan) has been struggling to come to terms with the loss of his mum Natasha (Rachel Leskovac), and there’s more heartache ahead for him, as her funeral arrives in upcoming Corrie scenes.

Natasha, as viewers will know, was gunned down by evil Harvey Gaskell (Will Mellor) in a case of mistaken identity during the ITV serial drama’s huge stunt week.

She subsequently died in hospital, after saying farewell to he beloved Sam. Sam later paid his mum a visit at the undertakers, and he hasn’t spoken a word since.

Nick Tilsley (Ben Price), meanwhile, has felt like he’s not capable of helping his son, given that he doesn’t know what to do, or how to look after a grieving child.

But, with George Shuttleworth’s (Tony Maudsley) words of encouragement in his ear, he sets out to be the best dad he can be on the day of Natasha’s funeral.

The above video clip – taken from Monday’s (November 8) first edition of the ITV soap – sees Audrey Roberts (Sue Nicholls), David Platt (Jack P Shepherd) and Shona Ramsey (Julia Goulding) leaving No.8, as the funeral car pulls up outside.

Sam and Nick stand in silence, as Shona tells Sam how handsome he looks, while Audrey asks him how he’s doing.

Sam, however, doesn’t respond, and instead takes Nick’s hand, as they prepare for what will undoubtedly be a tough day.

Will Nick be able to help Sam through his grief?

Coronation Street airs these scenes on Monday November 8 at 7:30pm on ITV.
