HARRY Styles is set to dominate the airwaves once more after secretly recording his third album.

I can reveal that the former One Direction star and now international icon wrote and recorded a series of tracks earlier this year.

Due to the pandemic the record’s release was pushed back, but it is now hoped that fans won’t have long to wait to hear the new music.

A source said: “Harry started working on the album in early 2020 and had a few writing sessions under his belt before the pandemic really took hold.

“As a result plans were put on ice but most of the record ended up being recorded in the UK.

“Right now exact details are top secret but the track listing should be decided soon.

“Harry is really excited about the album.”

The singer is in for a busy 12 months with the release of two films — My Policeman and Don’t Worry Darling — as well as new music and his global tour.

Harry’s last album, Fine Line, topped the US Billboard 200 on its release in December 2019 while narrowly missing out on a UK No1, peaking at No2.

The album’s single Watermelon Sugar gave Harry his first Grammy Award for Best Pop Solo Performance, helping to establish him as 1D’s stand-out star.

He is currently travelling America on his 39-date Love On Tour trek, and his actress girlfriend Olivia Wilde has been seen at a number of shows, dancing away at the side of the stage and looking on with pride.

The pair were first linked after being seen holding hands at a wedding in January, months after she split from her long-time partner, American actor and comedian Jason Sudeikis.

As Harry is one of the most exciting artists on the planet right now, I can’t wait to hear his new music.

Liam: I am far too trusting

LIAM Payne says he won’t ever hold back when talking about his personal life.

The former One Direction star got into hot water after speaking too freely about his split from fiancée Maya Henry earlier this year.

He told a podcast in June he is “not very good” at relationships and ends up hurting people.

The comments raised a few eyebrows behind the scenes – but Liam says he has no plans to stop talking honestly.

The Sunshine singer told me: “I am far too trusting. I would rather trust first and think about it later, in one way.

“Sometimes it is a problem for me.”

Liam, who has since reunited with Maya, said of his appearance on The Diary Of A CEO podcast: “I got in a lot of trouble for that stuff, but I can’t help it. I like conversing with people.”

I for one think it’s great to see a celeb who is willing to let their guard down and speak openly – not in soundbites written by PR people.

Rihanna calls on her bust buddies

RIHANNA proved she has got some of the the best contacts in the business when it comes to her underwear sideline.

Her star-studded Savage X Fenty show rolled into New York along with a host of glamorous celebrities strutting their stuff in the singer’s lingerie.

RiRi enlisted the help of pals including Gigi Hadid, Emily Ratajkowski, Irina Shayk and Vanessa Hudgens for the stunning event, showcasing her undies range, which celebrates inclusivity.

The whole show is now available to stream on Amazon Prime.

Ronan snip threat

LIFE really is a rollercoaster for Ronan Keating – and right now it’s not on the up.

The chart-topper turned radio host revealed his wife Storm has threatened to take him for the snip to stop them having more children.

He said: “The kids are getting big and crazy and fun. Am I having any more? That is it now. My wife is saying enough and that I am getting the snip.”

The couple, who married in 2015, have two children together, while Ronan has three more from his marriage to Yvonne Connolly.

Sad Chez quits gig

HEARTBROKEN Cheryl has suddenly pulled out of her planned headline performance at Birmingham Pride after the death of former Girls Aloud bandmate Sarah Harding.

She was due to perform tonight but told fans yesterday morning she couldn’t face the show.

In an emotional statement, Cheryl said: “Saying goodbye to somebody you spent such a massive piece of your life with is like nothing else.

“My heart is heavy. Grief is such a harsh experience and an absolute roller-coaster of emotions.”

She added: “I’m so sorry but I really am not emotionally, mentally, or physically able to perform for you at Birmingham Pride.

“I feel now I just need some time to sit with my feelings and process the grief. Nothing prepares you for this bit.”

Sarah died from breast cancer earlier this month at the age of 39.

Her death came just hours after Cheryl returned to the stage to headline Mighty Hoopla festival in London – bringing out their bandmate Nicola Roberts for a surprise slot.

Go it alone

THE lead vocalist for Basement Jaxx is going off on her own.

Sharlene Hector, who has sung on their biggest hits and has starred in Hairspray, will be performing at London hotspot Mrs Riot in Covent Garden on Monday.

McFly lads are shot

McFLY used to be known for their wild antics on and off stage.

But now members Tom Fletcher, Danny Jones, Dougie Poynter and Harry Judd say they are old bores.

The band, who are currently on tour, told me: “We have swapped shots of alcohol for ginger shots.

“We have the worst rider in history – it is just a selection of teas and coffees and some nuts. But the catering is incredible. That’s where the budget has gone. The catering is better than the show.”

At least their concerts are still great, even if it sounds like the boys are all partied out.

70 unheard Nirvana songs to be released

NIRVANA fans are in for a treat – a staggering 70 unheard tracks by the iconic band will be released to celebrate the 30th anniversary of their legendary album Nevermind.

From November, a total of 94 audio and video remastered tracks are to be made available across a range of commemorative platforms including a deluxe edition, standard CD, digital and vinyl.

Four newly remastered live shows from 1991 and 1992 will also be available as part of the Nevermind super deluxe editions.

The album was released on September 24, 1991 before topping the US Billboard 200 and landing at No7 in the UK.

Three years later, the band’s frontman Kurt Cobain died at the age of 27.

On the album’s anniversary this week, The Darkness singer and guitarist Justin Hawkins credited the record for inspiring his own career.

The rocker said: “I think it caused a lot of guitar players to re- train.

“Suddenly they were hiding their technical ability, they wanted to just play stuff that evoked more passion in an audience.”

Red Hot

RED Hot Chilli Peppers have announced plans for a 2022 tour.

A global stadium run will land in the UK next summer.

The band – Anthony Kiedis, Flea, Chad Smith and their returning guitarist John Frusciante – have not yet released dates.
