Daily Star’s Inside Hot TV newsletter sees Ed Gleave send you telly’s hot takes straight to your inbox every Sunday
Celebrity Gogglebox star Rylan Clark Neal has opened up about the reality of filming the hit Channel 4 show.
This Friday the new series of Gogglebox will kick off at 9pm, with the civilian families all letting cameras into their living rooms once more.
Throughout the past few series fans have flooded social media asking the Goggleboxers how the show is filmed.
Now Rylan admits that despite the stars watching shows throughout the week, in reality filming is all done in one go.
Chatting to Daily Star Online, the Big Brother legend said: "The producers seem to really enjoy coming to our house as they don't need to give you any guidance or pointers as they know mum will come out with something about someone's f***y or something like that.
"They have an easy job with us two, but the show in general isn't scripted.
"They don't even tell you what you are going to watch to make it as real as possible.
"They like to get your genuine reaction as possible, that is the whole point of the show. You don't know until it starts playing.
He added: "Yeah, you do watch all the shows in one go though, back to back.

"It does take a whole day or an afternoon or whatever.
"You don't sit there and they come back five days to watch five shows. It is on every week so they have to get it out there but it is strange. You do sit there and just watch the show. "
Praising the NTA nominated show, Rylan admitted it is one of his favourite shows to film.

He continued: "I honestly think it is so clever that you just sit there and it is people talking about s*** on TV but it is f*****g brilliant. It has had such a good year in 2020.
"When we sit down it's not work is it, put it that way. It literally is me and mum watching TV."
Asked if he and his mum will return for the 2021 celebrity series, Rylan says he would jump at the chance but nothing has been confirmed yet.
"We never know if we will get to do it again," he continued.
"Gogglebox comes around once a year and they ask but me and mum love doing it.
"Mum isn't too well at the moment so I can't really get her involved in work but with Gogglebox it is literally in my living room and she feels comfortable doing that.
"If it comes back around and mum is well then of course we'll do it again – we love it it's an excuse to have her round winding each other up."
Gogglebox starts Friday, Channel 4, 9pm
