Gemma Collins opened up about secret family heartbreak she suffered while she was filming her new series.

The notorious diva appeared on This Morning to promote her ITVBe series Diva Forever.

Today, the ITV daytime show literally rolled out the red carpet as Eamonn Holmes joked: "We're about to let the big diva out for the big interview! so much anticipation over the woman who made a name for herself on TOWIE."

However, speaking to hosts Eamonn and Ruth Langsford she said that filming series certainly hadn't been plain sailing.

"GC is a brand now, it's how I make my money," she told Eamonn and Ruth as she sat on the sofa. "Gemma is here today… I have become one of the biggest reality stars in the world."

Denying that the GC was a "nightmare", she instead said that she was a "very switched on woman".

"I make great TV," she said. "It's why every production company wants me."

Asked about how Arg was doing, she said: "Arg is really good, he's training [to swim] the Channel at the moment… when we're on reality TV it's not plain sailing."
