TAKE That star Gary Barlow has a new job as a cruise line musical director.
He will be “brand ambassador” for P&O Cruises and oversee entertainment on the new £730million Iona, Britain’s biggest cruise ship.
His new role will involve performing on board the ships, giving talks to customers and holding meet and greets.
Gary, the writer of 14 No1 hits, announced on a social media video: “I’m very pleased to announce that I’ll be coming aboard P&O Cruises Iona this year as Musical Director!
“Here’s to making more music and memories with you.”
It is thought the pop star will work on the ship's routes to the Norwegian Fjords, Spain and Portugal and the Canary Islands.
Fans of the superstar can buy tickets on the Scandinavian trip for £749-per-person.
P&O Cruises president Paul Ludlow said: “We look forward to revealing more exciting details of Gary’s role very soon.”
Other brand ambassadors for the cruise company include Blur guitarist Alex James, Strictly judge Craig Revel Horwood, and comic Rob Brydon.
