GARDENERS' World star Adam Frost has left fans 'terrified' after he spoke out on retiring.
Adam, 53, is a huge hit with viewers of the BBC gardening show, which also features Monty Don.
On Friday, Adam appeared on Lorraine to talk about the series as well as his personal life.
But he left Gardeners' World fans in a panic when he started the chat by saying: "This is it then, this is my last day on television, I'm retiring after today.This is…I've made it."
As Lorraine, 63, told him to "behave", he continued: "Seriously I've been telling everybody 'what you doing Friday? Well I'm having a cup of coffee with Lorraine.'"
Lorraine then poked fun at the exchange by sharing a clip on Twitter and captioning it: "The moment Adam Frost terrified all Gardeners' World fans…"

During the chat, Adam also discussed his wife Sulina's stint in hospital during the Coronavirus pandemic.
He said: "Bless her she was in there for 11-12 weeks and I could go in there for an hour a day.
"And then going home and telling four kids everything was fine."
Sulina had been admitted to hospital with sepsis, and he added: "During that time child number three, she ended up with an eating disorder partly out of that.

"But we slowly got through that. Then 10 days later I got locked in a room with Covid and sat in front of a head doctor telling me you've got burn out and depression.
"And I'm going 'really? I only went in the room with Covid.'"
Gardeners' World airs Fridays at 7pm on BBC Two.
