EASTENDERS fans have complained to the BBC over the baby Annie storyline – saying it fails to show the truth about social work.
Linda Carter – played by actress Kellie Bright on the BBC One soap – was left heartbroken when her baby daughter Annie was taken away from her after Janine Butcher's scheming.
A jealous Janine continued to ruin Linda's life after social services is called and they empty bottles of alcohol that were planted where Linda is staying with Annie.
But viewers were left disappointed with the "inaccurate portrayal
of social work procedures".
The TV watchdog has confirmed that they received 193 official complaints from upset viewers.
Viewers watched as Janine blackmailed Jada into her schemes as her feud with Linda continued and reached a new low.

Linda protested: "It's not mine. I swear I swear it's not mine. You know how well I've been doing" – but social services insisted in taking Annie to the hospital to get checked out.
