Fosse/Verdon is the new biographical miniseries on BBC Two about Broadway superstars Bob Fosse and Gwen Verdon. The series already premiered in April 2019 on FX in the US and has finally been given a release date in the UK. The series stars Sam Rockwell, Michelle Williams, Paddy Chayefsky and Ann Reinking.

What is Fosse/Verdon on BBC Two about?
Foose/Verdon is a biographical drama series about director-choreographer Bob Fosse (played by Sam Rockwell) and actress and dancer Gwen Verdon (Michelle Williams).
The series is an adaption of the biography Fosse by Sam Wasson.
Rockwell takes on the role of Bob Fosse and Williams plays Gwen Verdon.
Oscar-winner Rockwell most recently played George W Bush in the film Vice and other acting credits include Seven Psychopaths and Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri.
Four-time Oscar-nominee Williams most recently starred in The Greatest Showman. Other credits include Manchester by the Sea and Brokeback Mountain.
Across eight episodes, the series will look at the married couple’s troubled romantic and professional relationship.
Fosse was a filmmaker and one of Broadway’s greatest choreographers and directors from the 1940s until the 1980s.
His credit includes Chicago and Cabaret and is the only person to win an Oscar, Emmy and Tony in the same year (1973).
Verdon is regarded as one of the greatest Broadway dancers of all time, winning four Tony awards for her musical comedy performances.
The story of Fosse/Verdon was brought to the screen by the team behind the hit musical Hamilton – Lin-Manuel Miranda and Thomas Kail.
Fosse/Verdon received seven nominations at the 2019 Primetime Emmy Awards, including Outstanding Limited Series.
