FORMER Emmerdale star Hayley Tamaddon has reassured fans that her one-year-old son is on the mend after he was rushed to hospital with a "scary" fever.

The 44-year-old explained that Jasper had received hospital treatment, including two days of antibiotics via a cannula tube.

Earlier this week, Hayley revealed that the young lad, had tonsillitis after months of various infections and ended up getting medical help after a difficult night.

The soap star said that the medication had "done the trick", adding that the brave boy was feeling "so much better".

She shared a pic of her alongside little Jasper, as they made their way to the hospital.

The actress wrote: "He's home! He's feeling so much better!

"Thank you for all your kind messages! 2 days of antibiotics through a cannula in his arm and it's done the trick!

"We are taking the tram to the hospital today to get more antibiotics…he loves the tram!

"Sending love to you all. And happy Father's Day."

The actress told fans earlier in the week that Jasper was feeling "poorly", and was having trouble sleeping.

Explaining the situation, Hayley wrote: “It’s 2 am.. we’re in the living room. he’s poorly. Again. Poor thing. In the past two months he’s had So many infections, ears, eyes, throat .. and now he has tonsillitis. 

“The worst thing is the fever .. it’s scary.. it goes so high and makes him so ill. But.. he’s a trouper. Deals with it so well! Better than I would I reckon!”

Just hours later she updated her followers, and revealed that they had gone to the hospital.

She said: “And we are back in hospital. Hopefully not for long but the amazing NHS staff are looking into what’s making him so poorly.”

As he lay in her arms sleeping, she explained: “He has a little cannula in his arm so he has the antibiotics.”

The actress added that she had struggled with his blood tests, saying: “Oh my god, a baby having bloody tests. I cried, he screamed. "

She added: "Sending lots of love to all the parents out there who have got poorly babies. I know he’s not that bad and there’s a lot of babies out there suffering a hell of a lot worse.”

Hayley welcomed her first child Jasper in October 2019 with her estate agent fiancé Adrian.

The star played the impulsive Del Dingle for two years from 2005-2007.

Six years after leaving the Yorkshire Dales, Hayley popped up on Coronation Street in 2013 and spent two years in Weatherfield before leaving in September 2015.
