Emmerdale: Caleb threatens Nicky

Emmerdale viewers have been speculating for months about the true identity of Caleb Milligan’s (played by Will Ash) ex-wife, with Sadie King (Patsy Kensit) and Tina Dingle (Jacqueline Pirie) tipped to be the mystery woman.

Actor Will has now addressed if fans of the ITV soap could meet his character’s former flame in upcoming scenes.

The mystery woman is his secret son Nicky Milligan’s (Lewis Cope) mother, but will she make a surprise appearance at his wedding to Gabby Thomas (Rosie Bentham) which is just around the corner?

Nicky and Caleb have teamed up in a bid to take down Kim Tate (Claire King) after it was revealed her ex-husband Frank Tate (Norman Bowler) was the latter’s father.

Caleb feels Home Farm is his birthright and he blames Kim for his father’s tragic death.

Caleb actor Will recently spoke to Express.co.uk and other media about Nicky’s wedding which is set to be explosive.

When asked if his ex-wife could arrive in the village, the actor said it would be “interesting” for her to rock up and reveal why they broke up.

He said: “I think it would be interesting bringing in that character down the line because there’s obviously a wealth of history there,

“And Nicky sees this potential of them getting back together but he’s having none of it, so it would be nice.”

Will also addressed whether Caleb was using his own family, the Dingles, for his own gain.

“Chas (Lucy Pargeter) and the rest of the Dingles have been so good to [Caleb] but there is this darkness in Cain (Jeff Hordley) that because of being scarred as a baby there is just a real darkness inside of him,” Will added.

“I think [Caleb] genuinely wants to stay in the village. The pursuit of Home Farm gets the better of him and he loses sight of everything else and it becomes almost like greed as he can’t see the wood through the trees.

“He’s horrible to his son and throws him under the bus. He hates Kim, he really hates her.”

Nicky and Caleb are set to come to blows in upcoming scenes on Emmerdale after Nicky backs out of his wedding, ITV spoilers have revealed.

Nicky is gay and doesn’t actually love Gabby so he feels he cannot go through with the marriage when his guilt takes over. Will this put Caleb’s plan in jeopardy?

Emmerdale airs on weeknights at 7.30pm on ITV and ITVX.
