Emmerdale star James Hooton has revealed a secret sex scene he tries to get into filming.
The actor — who stars as Sam Dingle in the ITV serial drama — recently spoke about how he often attempts to make it look as if his character Sam and bride-to-be Lydia (Karen Blick) are just after sleeping together when they begin a scene.
James said: ‘I always try to make it look as though we’ve just come out of post-coital situations.’
‘If we start a scene where we’re coming down the stairs I was always trying to zip my flies up on the way down for a laugh and the director would always pick up on it and say, ‘James, please don’t do your flies up on the way down from the stairs. We don’t want to give the audience that impression’.’
Sam and Lydia are set to tie the knot in upcoming scenes, but the day of their impending nuptials is not without drama, as Lydia is nowhere to be found on the morning of the ceremony.
However, she soon turns up, and rushes to get ready for the big day. The Dingle clan rejoice that the ceremony is still going ahead and therefore the preparations begin.

Samson shares a touching moment with his dad as they make their way to the church, while Bob fiddles with the Yorkshire themed gravy fountain at The Woolpack.
As the wedding gets underway, Sam’s breath is taken away when Lydia arrives. Their union is made final, and there are cheers of delight from all in attendance.
Emmerdale continues Monday 6 April at 7pm on ITV.
