Official Emmerdale spoilers have revealed a threat is going to emerge up at Moira Barton’s (played by Natalie J. Robb) farm as Rustlers set their sights on her livestock. Unbeknownst to her, estranged husband Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley) is going to take control of the situation, but there is a chance it will turn sinister when someone ends up getting shot.
With Moria’s life seemingly derailed, the responsibilities of the farm have fallen on her son, Matty Barton’s (Ash Palmisciano) shoulders.
In upcoming scenes, he and close friend Amy Wyatt (Natalie Ann Jamieson) arrive back and notice some sheep have escaped, while Amy suggests they ring Cain, Matty is convinced he can deal with this situation without his overbearing step-father.
The pair head off into the fields to try and find the missing animals, but as darkness descends they soon find themselves coming face to face with some Rustlers.
As they try to make a run for it, it isn’t long before they realise they are surrounded by the whole group, luckily, Moira is out stalking her land with a loaded gun in hand, proving she is not to be messed with she starts firing shots, but it seems this only aggravates the men.

After word gets around the village, Cain is quick to head up to the farm and takes matters into his own hands.
When he finds the dead body of a sheep, he reaches for his gun and rushed back towards the barn where Moira has been asked to wait inside.
However, shots are fired at a figure in the distance – could it have been one of his sons? Spoilers have suggested fans will be left shocked when they find out the identity of the victim.
In a moment of blind panic, Cain could’ve had the children with him when he decided to go to the farm and check out the situation, after ordering them to stay inside the farmhouse, there is a strong chance one of them could’ve gone wandering, especially Kyle if he heard his mother’s – Amy’s voice. Did Cain accidentally shoot his own son?
The actor who plays Cain spoke out about his current storyline and said: “Anything to do with where his boys are, which is the farm, his boys are up there sometimes, then yes [Cain feels protective]. He’s there to protect his boys.
“It all happens very quickly,” Jeff continued. “First of all, they hear a door banging from the barn so they go out to see it and you know these Rustlers have been reported in the area and they’ve been attacking people and killing the livestock.
“But then one farmhand from another farm, we hear [he has] been attacked. So when they [Moira and Cain] go into the barn, Cain’s been given this gun through Harriet [Katherine Dow Blyton], and he pulls it out, which is a bit un-Cain like but it is a hand weapon. And he just wields this gun in this moment, and that’s when Moira first sees it and begins to ask questions, which Cain quickly shuts off.

“But then later on, he goes looking in the field and sees a dead carcass of a sheep and then rushes back because he’s worried the Rustlers are still at the farm.
“He goes into the barn, sees this figure coming towards Moira and in that moment that’s when the gun comes out…” he reveals.
As for how Cain’s behaviour is going to change the dynamic between him and his estranged wife Moira, Jeff said there is going to be a “definite change for Cain after this incident”.
Elsewhere in Emmerdale, Victoria Sugden (Isabel Hodgins) received some good news.
