EASTENDERS' Suki Panesar reveals her nasty side to her sons at her birthday celebrations after Ash brings Iqra along to the meal.
The matriarch welcomes them both with open arms but is quick to tell her sons what she really thinks as soon as she is alone with them on the BBC One soap.
EastEnders fans will remember that when Ash first appeared in Walford and was introduced to her girlfriend's grandparents and sister, Iqra was desperate to meet her family too.
But Ash repeatedly told Iqra she wanted nothing to do with her family.
The doctor then got a nasty shock in December when her brothers arrived on Albert Square – but an even bigger surprise when her mother turned up on her doorstep this month too.
It turned out the Panesar clan were in the midst of a family feud after Ash had an abortion against their wishes when she was 19.
During their reunion on the Square, her brother Kheerat accused her of “murdering her baby” and told her she’d betrayed her mother.
In an upcoming episode, Iqra finally gets her wish to become properly acquainted with Ash’s family – granted when Suki plans a family meal to celebrate her birthday.
But when Vinny invites Ash, he’s surprised when she brings Iqra along.
With the meal in full swing, Ash and her brothers are confused by Suki’s positive reaction to Iqra.
Iqra and Ash leave in high spirits, but Suki is quick to show her true colours after they’ve left.
Is Suki about to tell Ash how she really feels, or has she got a sinister plan up her sleeve?
Speaking about Suki's relationship with her daughter in the BBC One soap, actress Balvinder Sopal said: "It’s quite clear from what has been said on screen that she has a very good relationship with her boys, she is very close to the lads.
"But as we know, the relationship is a little bit strained with Ash, so we’ll have to see how that develops on screen."
She added: "They have a lot of history, as families do, and they have a few secrets… I think also potentially Ash and Suki are the same person.
"You know when you’re at loggerheads with someone who is very much like you? That mother/daughter relationship – they are both very strong-minded."
On her character’s evil ways, Balvinder added: “She is very controlling, very manipulative and wants her way a lot of the time."
