Mick Carter (played by Danny Dyer) is trying to keep his marriage together on EastEnders as Linda Carter (Kellie Bright) battles alcohol addiction. The landlady is in denial about how serious her dependence on alcohol is while Mick feels increasingly shut out of his wife’s life as he manages his own health problems. However, after months of tension and explosives rows, could the Carters downfall result in a tragic accident?

Mick and Linda are struggling to keep their marriage on track after a turbulent year at the Queen Vic on the BBC soap.

Following Mick’s health concerns and Ollie’s autism diagnosis, Linda failed to cope and turned to alcohol.

The landlady’s alcohol dependency only got worse after Christmas but Mick has no idea the role Linda played in Keanu Taylor’s (Danny Walters) ‘death’ and how it’s affected her.

After discovering they had won London’s Best Pub competition, things seemed to be looking up for the Carters.

The couple announced there would be a party boat setting off on the River Thames to celebrate their win.

However, their excitement won’t last as EastEnders spoilers have confirmed one unlucky punter will plunge into the Thames and drown.

Mick and Linda have already revealed that Queen Vic regulars will be invited on board and EastEnder star Danny has confirmed the death will be a “huge shock”.

Could Linda fall off the wagon at the party causing a massive row which sees either her or Mick tumbling off the side of the boat?

Actor Danny dropped a huge hint over the identity of the anniversary victim while talking about his future on the soap.

“Another ten stretch and then I’ll just take a backseat,” he told Mirror.co.uk in regards to how long he would like to continue playing Mick on screen. 

“I love EastEnders. I’m very grateful it’s a lovely. I’m on the best soap ever invented.”

Danny was asked what he can reveal about the Walford resident who will lose their life at the boat party.

“I think I’m alright,” Danny confirmed before hinting the death is “a massive shock to the whole cast.”

Could Linda’s alcohol addiction cost her her life or will Sharon Mitchell’s (Letitia Dean) revenge plan on Phil backfire?

Jon Sen, Executive Producer EastEnders revealed the 35th anniversary week will be “unmissable”.

He said: “For the 35th anniversary we wanted to entertain the EastEnders audience on the iconic river which has heralded the start of the show for 35 years.

Meanwhile, Louise Mitchell (Tilly Keeper) is struggling to cope with the role she played in Keanu’s ‘death’.

After luring her fiancé into a trap, Louise broke down and revealed the truth to Lisa Fowler (Lucy Benjamin) just as she went to smother baby Peggy. 

Lisa is furious with Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden) and is planning to take Louise away to Portugal but will she listen to her mum or stay in the Square?

EastEnders continues Friday on BBC One at 8pm.
