This week on EastEnders, Gray Atkins’ (played by Toby Alexander Smith) was suspended from his job after Whitney Dean’s (Shona McGarty) bail hearing. But fans were shocked when he went back home and took his anger out on Chantelle (Jessica Plummer), grabbing her by the hair and screaming in her face, in upcoming scenes she will be faced with a devastating ultimatum.

Over the last year, Gray has shown not only is he emotionally abusive but also physically.

Chantelle has endured months of Gray’s temper, but at the end of last year, things took a more sinister turn when he led her upstairs and forced her to have sex with him.

This week, however, Gray was suspended from his job, and when Chantelle showed up with a box of his possessions from work he slammed her against a wall. 

In upcoming scenes, Gray’s temper will flare once again but people are getting suspicious, will he finally be punished for his abuse?

As Gray tries to rectify things with Whitney, Chantelle will be forced to try and hide her injuries once again. 

Gray will be left concerned however when Chantelle starts her new job with Kheerat in the call centre. 

But as Gray struggles to get the evidence he needs to incriminate the murdered Leo King (Tom Wells) his temper will flare once again but this time he will leave Sonia Fowler (Natalie Cassidy) confused by his behaviour. 

In a desperate last-ditch attempt to find answers, Gray will find something that gives him a spike in confidence.

When Gray gets home and realises the extent of Chantelle’s injuries, he will be left mortified and looking to make it up to her. 

He will promise once again, it will never happen but the abuse is taking its toll on his wife.

She will be forced to decide if her love for Gray is stronger than the fear he instils in her. 

But can she finally step away from him once and for all and what will be the thing that gives her the final push?

Next week, Chantelle will be relieved when her dad Mitch Baker (Roger Griffiths) offers to help as she struggles to keep all aspects of her life together. 

But as viewers know, Mitch has been getting more and more suspicious of Gray in the last couple of weeks. 

Things could go from bad to worse when Chantelle also impresses Kheerat Panesar (Jaz Deol) at work. 

Will Gray end up getting jealous and leaving Chantelle in trouble once again?

As viewers remember, Mitch first thought Gray was having an affair, but if he is spending more time with the family, will he finally be able to expose Gray for who he really is?

The more Mitch gets involved the more Chantelle will panic her life is about to be turned upside down. 

Mitch will find Gray’s therapy card, but how will the couple explain it to the already concerned dad?
