EASTENDERS star Shona McGarty has teased tonight’s massive episode as Whitney Dean faces off with serial killer Gray Atkins.

The actress has promised the confrontation will “tie up a lot of loose threads” as Whitney finally faces Gray head on.

Speaking exclusively to The Sun, Shona spoke about the scenes that also feature a big stunt between the two characters.

“It was absolutely amazing,” she said. 

“Before we knew what we were doing there were obviously stunt people around and then they let us do our own stunts which I was really excited about. 

“Me and Toby were really up for it. There’s a lot of physical stuff going on and we got stuck in. I loved every minute of it.”

However, she admitted she is nervous for people to see the episode as the culmination of Gray’s three-year storyline.

“I’m really nervous for people to see it,” she said.

“She’s exposing him and it’s been coming for a long time. I guess I’m nervous because it’s such a big storyline. I hope that people enjoy it, I’m just nervous.”

Shona also opened up about how she felt when she got the scripts of the huge episode that sees Gray come face to face with his victims’ families.

“It was exciting,” she said. 

“The thing is when you read the scripts you get an idea of how it might play out but then when you get on set the director might want it a different way. It can change at any moment.

“We were so excited because we’re tying up a lot of loose ends which I think is really important. 

“It’s a massive honour actually to be given the final part.”
